The Back Story
I am a word & code geek... a digital native that finds, creates, generates and formats content, managing its distribution, optimisation and marketing across multiple publishing points.
My professional life began in journalism in the summer of 1992 with a radio station internship in Barbados. This morphed into a two year gig writing a column for one of most prominent newspapers in the Caribbean. All before the age of 20. My career as a journalist led me to bounce between Barbados and Trinidad for more than a decade, culminating with a position as an Associate Editor at the Trinidad Guardian.
However my fascination with the Internet, begun as experiments with Commodore 64s and large black rotary phones as a little girl, gave way to a true passion for the emerging technologies. In 1995, at a time when most people still didn’t understand anything about it, I became one of the Caribbean’s most vocal advocates for the proper adoption of internet technologies, speaking at workshops and panel discussions from Washington D.C. to Port-of-Spain over the subsequent 18 years.
I'm No Flash In The Pan
Since 1996 I have built hundreds of web sites for small businesses, governmental organisations and non-profit organisations across the Caribbean, North America, Great Britain & Europe, as well as trained thousands of users in content management.

Miko is driven and brilliant. Her professionalism and character are added bonuses, especially since most of our meetings take place in the Web 2.0 world. She is an asset to any team she joins and highlights the best practices needed for this area.
